Position Details

The Regional Director is responsible for the operational integrity of his/her assigned region and for exceeding their assigned budget targets by generating profitable organic revenue growth through the development of new business, increased customer retention and expanded product offering to the existing customer base. The Eastern territory currently includes facilities in Syracuse, NY, Shelton, CT, New York, NY, and Cave City, KY.

This position is responsible for growing the eastern service footprint and for the overall regional business performance which includes sales, operations & profitability. The primary focus of this position is to drive commercial activities such as face-to-face customer visits, business development activities and build relationships with key stakeholders. As the overall leader of all the personnel in the region, this role also has operational responsibilities to ensuring field service personnel and equipment are scheduled effectively, are performing as planned and executing to assigned budget expectations to optimize job profitability.

The Regional Director also responds to internal and external customer concerns or problems, determines corrective actions, and ensures appropriate responses to meet commitments. This position is also responsible for ERP integrity, financial and operational reporting.

This position reports to President of the Services Business (currently CEO acting in that role).  Peers include the GM’s of the Systems business and the other two others Regional Directors.

Duties include:
Identify and generate new profitable organic revenue growth

Recruit, Retain and Grow the talent, with the help of our People First HR team, necessary to meet the business objectives.
Maintain and grow a book of business by motivating local sales teams
Track and drive sales and operational performance to agreed objectives
Negotiate customer contract terms, conditions, pricing and commitments in alignment with RESA policy and standards

Partners with Human Resources to hire, develop and retain talent

Works with local employees and HR to develop career growth plans for each employee

Partners with HR to maintain an engaged workforce

Work with internal departments to ensure premium service levels for all new and existing customers
Ensure operational excellence and financial targets are met for the region
Develop 3 year strategy and continuous improvement plan

 

Work Experience Requirements
10 years as GM for a Field Services Organization with full P&L responsibility

Electrical Services industry background
Multi–facility P&L management a definite plus

Demonstrated track record of exceeding budgets and hitting forecasts
History of building a book of business in undeveloped territories

Experience managing 25 or more employees

Succession and employee development planning

Operational and Commercial management roles

Proven personnel and remote team management skills that delivered customer satisfaction excellence

Prior fleet management and maintenance responsibility a plus

HSEQ, DOT, OSHA compliance and conformance that delivered an excellent safety record
Demonstrated Project Management skills in the area of employee, product and business unit integration

Ability to travel up to 50%
Working knowledge of CRM
Competent in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
