Employee Referral Policy and Procedures – Canada

RESA Power, LLC is always looking for good people, and you can help. Research has shown, and our own experience supports, that new hires who come into a company through employee referrals are excellent contributors, stay with the company longer and are more cost-effective recruits.

That’s where you come in! If you know someone who would be a good addition to RESA Power, you may be awarded a referral bonus of up to $3,000 if you refer a candidate who is hired into a full-time job.

Employees must refer candidates to Human Resources by filing out this candidate referral form.

Program Rules

  • All RESA Power employees, except Senior Management, Human Resources, and Managers with hiring authority over the referred candidates, are eligible for the referral bonus.
  • The referral date cannot be earlier than the date the job opening is posted. The hiring of a referred employee must occur within 180 days (six months) of the initial referral date.
  • The referral must represent the candidate’s first contact with RESA Power, LLC. Temporary, summer, contract and former employees of RESA Power are not eligible candidates for referral awards.
  • To be eligible for an award, an employee must submit a referral to Human Resources by emailing the candidate resume to hr@resapower.com along with a completed candidate referral form. The candidate may also designate the referral by entering the referring employee’s name as the referral source on the candidate’s application.
  • The referring employee must agree to have their name used when the company contacts the candidate.
  • If two or more employees refer the same candidate, only the first referrer will receive their referral bonus.
  • Only candidates who meet the essential qualifications for the position will be considered.
  • All candidates will be evaluated for employment consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • The referring employee must be employed by RESA Power during the hired candidate’s first 90 days of employment to receive payment of the referral bonus.
  • All referral bonus payments will be paid as follows: 50% after the candidate completes their probation period (90-days), 50% after the candidates completes 12-months.
  • Referral Bonuses are subject to standard payroll tax withholding.
  • There is no cap on the number of referrals an employee can make. All rewards will be paid  accordingly.
  • Any disputes or interpretations of this employee referral program will be handled through Human Resources.
